The University recognises the importance of Child Protection and enshrines this in its Child Protection policy. However, child protection concerns may nonetheless arise and should be reported to the University’s Designated Liaison Persons (DLPs) who can provide advice and guidance, ideally as soon as the concerns are identified.

Reporting may be carried out orally, but in writing is preferable to ensure all of the relevant information is made available at the time of reporting. A report made in writing should use this webpage. Oral reports will be documented by the DLP who has been approached and the transcript of the report subsequently agreed upon with the person reporting.

Depending on the report and risk, the DLP may also subsequently inform the Child and Family Agency (TUSLA).
