This is a 60-credit, Level 7 programme, offered in a part-time blended learning format that utilises a work-based model and which will run over one academic year. The 60 credits will be delivered via taught modules one day per week over two semesters. The programme will initially be delivered for the National Ambulance Service (NAS) and is designed to provide learners with a practical approach to dealing with aspects of a middle management position within the organisation. The programme covers all aspects of organisational culture and learners will be encouraged to interact with their peers to gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of each business area. Learners are assessed through a variety of assessment methods such as reflective journals, continuous assessment, skills demonstration, research assignments, individual and group presentations and end of course formal examinations. It is intended that a number of NAS based case studies and best practice examples will be utilised in the assessment of this programme.

The programme will be delivered using a synchronous approach, with a series of onsite and online sessions.

A. For entry into this level 7 Bachelor’s degree programme, applicants will be employed at a minimum Grade 6 level and working in one of the following areas within NAS for a minimum of three years:
- First Line Managers
- Administrative Grade VI
- Others of an equivalent Grade
OR
B. Applicants with the following specific qualifications will also be eligible to apply:
- Paramedic or Advanced Paramedic with a minimum of three years experience.
OR
C. Applicants with a QQI level 6 qualification and with a minimum of three years experience
OTHER
Applicants for whom English is not their first language must include an IELTS result certificate (academic test) with their application. The required level at SETU is IELTS level 5.
Graduates of this programme will hold the award of Bachelor of Arts in Applied Leadership and Resource Management and can apply to progress into other level 8 programmes in related cognate areas. Example of programmes at SETU that graduates could apply for include:
