Overview
This certificate programme was developed as a follow on from the Certificate in IP Networking (Level 6) for those who wish to deepen their skill base. It builds on the learner's foundational knowledge with the ability to identify the advantages of Link State over Distance Vector routing protocols and configure Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) as a Link State routing protocol. Participants will also learn to implement an IP addressing scheme and IP Services, and configuration of Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) addressing scheme and IPv6 Services to meet network requirements in a medium-size enterprise branch office network using OSPF.
In addition, they will be able to configure, implement and test IP multicast for streaming traffic as well as the implementation of Network Address Translation (NAT) and Filtering mechanisms.
Successful course candidates will be equipped to work in network technician and technician support roles.
