First year undergraduate registration
Registration for full-time undergraduate new entrants (first years) opens in September each year. Once you receive an email from us at [email protected] you can proceed to register online immediately via the Student Portal below. You only receive this email after you have accepted your offer via the CAO. This email contains all of the information about how to register, including your login details for online registration.
If you are not in receipt of a SUSI award you must pay 50% of full fees in order to be a registered student of the University and gain access to University facilities. You may pay in 2 installments of €1500; €1,500 payable during online registration and the remaining €1,500 should be paid by 31st January at the latest. You can choose to pay the full €3,000 on registration if you wish.
If you are in receipt of a SUSI grant, you must supply your SUSI application number during registration.

Continuing undergraduate student registration
Registration for continuing students opens in mid-August each year. Students can register online via the Student Portal below. If you have any queries please contact the team at [email protected].
The Student Contribution Charge is set annually by the Department of Education. If you are not in receipt of a SUSI award you must pay 50% of full fees in order to be a registered student of the University and gain access to University facilities. You may pay in 2 installments of €1500; €1,500 payable during online registration and the remaining €1,500 should be paid by 31st January at the latest. You can choose to pay the full €3,000 on registration if you wish.
Students who have exhausted their entitlement to free tuition fees are required to pay Tuition Fees as well as the Student Contribution Charge. More information on SETU Registration and tuition fee charges are provided in the links below.

NOTE
For students who receive results on September 19th and are eligible to progress you may register online from Tuesday, 24 September @ 3.00 p.m. via the student registration portal.
For students whose exam results are released after Thursday, 19 September, please allow up to five working days for your registration details to be set up. You may then log into the student registration portal to register online.

Even if you are in receipt of a SUSI award in 2024/2025, you will see a fee liability on your account for 2024/2025 when you log in to register online. You should enter your SUSI number in the appropriate field, this will advise us that you have a complete/ongoing application with SUSI. If you do not enter a SUSI number and do not pay 50% of full fees, you will not gain access to University facilities. If you have entered a SUSI number and not paid 50% full fees at online registration, you will have access to University facilities within 48 hours.
If you are grant-aided in the previous academic year or recorded on the University student record system as sponsored carrying modules from a previous year, you should register on your programme of study as normal.

NOTE: If you were not a Sponsored/Grant-aided Student in the previous academic year and have now received or applied for a grant you should enter your SUSI reference number in the appropriate section within online registration.
