Students who are carrying modules, or are not progressing, and are taking a semester or year to retake failed modules are considered as repeat learners for those modules. Below are a list of common FAQs that Repeat Learners may have that may help with your query. If you don’t find the answer to your question below, please reach out to the team at [email protected].

General Information

A Repeat Learner is a student who has outstanding modules from previous academic years.

A Repeat Learner will:

  • Have the right to engage with lecturers as appropriate.
  • Have the right, but not the obligation, unless specified on the Approved Course Schedule, to attend lectures if practical to do so.
  • Pay a fee of €200 per 5 credit module, which is less than the full credit cost of attending, in order to recognise that the Repeat Learner category is intended to foster engagement rather than full attendance at the University.
