If you have a Specific Learning Difficulty such as Dyslexia or Dyscalculia and wish to apply for reasonable accommodation, you must register with the Disability Office and provide evidence of disability. Acceptable evidence under the category of Specific Learning Difficulty includes:
- An Educational Psychology Assessment. There is no age limit regarding the date of the report.
- A RACE letter from your secondary school. This is a letter from the States Examination Commission that identifies the accommodations you received for your Junior or Leaving Certificate Examinations.
- A completed DARE application form with updated attainments scores and/or completed section D.
To arrange an Educational Psychology assessment, you can visit the Psychological Society of Ireland website, when filtering by discipline select an Educational Psychologist. You can also contact the Dyslexia Association of Ireland to arrange an Educational Psychology Assessment.
SETU does not offer or provide funding for educational psychology assessments for dyslexia.
