SETU is a multicultural university, hosting students from all over the world. The International Offices at the SETU Waterford and Carlow Campuses are dedicated to supporting international students during their studies. The office also overseas recruitment and partnership building as well as enhancing internationalisation activities at the University.

Supports offered
As an international student you may need specific documentation such as:
- Letters for immigration when applying for or extending a study permit;
- Letters for visas when visiting other countries;
- Letters for employers;
- Applying for a PPS (Personal Public Service) number;
- Opening an Irish bank account.
The International Office also
- Provides information on matters relating to immigration, work, study and college life at SETU;
- Organises cultural and social events for students;
- Supports international student societies in their many activities;
- Promotes study abroad options to SETU registered students;
- Provides information to students about partner destinations;
- Organises mobility placement in conjunction with SETU Schools.
What is Erasmus+?
Erasmus+ is the EU flagship education and training programme, enabling students to study and work abroad each year. Students can study for a period of 3-12 months at a university or higher education institute in another participating country or they can go on a Traineeship for a period of 2-12 months in another participating country.
