Where to Go
The Circulation Desk is where to go to borrow and return books.
The desk opens at 9.15 am and closes 15 minutes before the library closes.
Borrowing Rights
The Book Collection is divided into:
- Long loan items: Students can borrow 8 long loan items for 2 weeks.
Long loan items can be reserved, so if the book you need is out on loan, place a hold on it and when it is returned, it will be held for you at the desk. Long loans can also be renewed once, unless another borrower has put a hold on it, in which case, it must be returned.
- Short loan items: Students can borrow 2 short loan items for 1 week.
Short loan items are labelled with a red sticker. These books are in high demand and cannot be reserved or renewed.
Students and staff have different borrowing rights. Staff and students cannot borrow without valid cards and borrowers are responsible for all items issued on their cards.
