Medical Services

The SETU Waterford Campus Student Medical Service is provided by qualified nursing staff and caters to all full-time registered students and apprentices. Operating hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM throughout the academic year. It's important to note that this service complements rather than replaces students' own General Practitioner (GP).

SETU Waterford Campus Nurse Appointment

Our service offers acute care during the week for situations when students are unable to access their regular medical services, working within defined resource limitations. We provide treatment, referrals to community services, and actively promote well-being through tailored advice, information, and health promotion initiatives.

The Nurse is dedicated to assessing, treating, and managing student health needs during term time. Doctor appointments are available at a local medical facility from Monday to Friday, specifically from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM, during term time. Please be aware that these hours may be subject to change.

Doctor appointments are scheduled by phone on the same day, between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM. For scheduling, please call: 051 302 873.

Nurse appointments are available at no cost and can be conveniently booked online via the provided appointment booking system supplied below. The Nurse is available Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Rest assured, all medical records are kept strictly confidential and are separate from the main SETU records.
