This will complete this small woodland project started last Friday 28th February, with the 6th class of Presentation primary school also planting 250 trees, sponsored by ABP Foods Group and Waterford Lions Club.
SETU West Campus Carriganore is developing as a Living Lab, whereby nature-based initiatives, informed by good environmental practice, are carried out in partnership with the wider community. Over four years, about 4000 trees have been planted in a number of locations at Carriganore in a number of initiatives, including a native tree arboretum, a pollinator-friendly hedgerow, an Ogham calendar forest and now a mini native woodland.
