On Friday, 5 July, SETU's education partners Teagasc are hosting Horticulture Taster Days where participants can experience college life first hand in Kildalton College. Those who have selected the BSc in Horticulture SE506 will find these events useful as the course is taught with Teagasc in Kildalton College.
During the day you will find out what is involved in the examination and identification of plant material and how that is used in the amenity setting of Kildalton College. You will also get to see demonstrations of machinery, and will find out about what course types and careers would be on offer once you've completed a degree in Horticulture with SETU in Kildalton College.
You can choose to attend either of the taster days, and each day starts at 10am and ends at 4pm. It is a great opportunity for CAO entrants to visit Kildalton College to see the great facilities and to meet the horticulture lecturers. Places are limited and these taster days are free of charge but booking in advance is essential.
