Policy Workshop: Addressing Biodiversity Loss with Sustainable Finance Solutions

Date : Fri 08 Sep

Chartered Accountants House, Pearse Street, Dublin

Biodiversity loss has been ranked as the third most severe threat to humanity in the next decade by the World Economic Forum Global Risks 2022 Report. The provision of finance is crucial for achieving the ambitious goals set out in the Kunming-Montreal Global Diversity Framework and the EU’s 2030 Biodiversity Strategy. Funded under the Irish Research Council’s New Foundations Programme, this workshop taking place on 8 September from 9am to 3pm at the Chartered Accountants House, Pearse Street in Dublin, is one of the fact-finding events organised to explore how sustainable finance solutions can address biodiversity loss on the island of Ireland.

Organised by South East Technological University's School of Business and Queen's University Management School.

Speakers include:
Malcom Noonan - Minister for Heritage and Electoral Reform
