SETU Research Excellence Awards 2024

On behalf of Prof. Marie Claire Van Hout, Dr Geraldine Canny, and Dr Brian Jackson, we are pleased to announce our South East Technological University (SETU) Research Excellence Awards 2024. 

The aim of the awards is to recognise the outstanding contributions of academic and research staff for excellent and innovative research that enhances SETU’s reputation and capacity to perform outstanding research. 

This year's ceremony

The Research Excellence Awards are held annually, with this year’s ceremony scheduled for 16 January 2025 at our Kilkenny Road, Carlow campus. 

The awards categories are, as follows: 

  • Early-career Reseacher award.
  • Established Researcher award.
  • Research Impact- Industry and Commercialisation award.
  • Research Impact- Policy and Practice award.
  • Research Supervisor award.
