Interested in a career in business? Try Business at SETU's Kilkenny Road Campus in Carlow gives sixth, fifth, transition year, further education and mature students the opportunity to see if studying the Bachelor of Business (Hons) is the right choice for them.
This event will include sessions on International Business, Human Resource Management, Supply Chain Management and Management in order to allow participants an opportunity to see what these areas of business are all about.
Workshops will take place throughout the day in these areas. Event will include lunch and a goody bag for each participant.
Below are further details on each discipline and what activities will be included on the day.
International Business
The TRY event in international business will explore the cultural differences in global business and look at practical insights and concepts about doing business in a global world. The event will look at key do’s and don’ts in international business and will give an insight into how different cultures across the world impacts a business.
Human Resource Management
A career in Human Resource Management (HRM) is all about finding, developing, and supporting the right people to help businesses thrive. At our Try event, you'll step into the role of an HR professional and take on a fun recruitment challenge! Your task? Help us hire the perfect influencer by assessing candidates, and making the final hiring decision. Get ready to experience what it’s like to work in HRM—where people are the centre of the organisation!
Supply Chain Management
Well managed Supply Chains lead to satisfied customers. Studying Supply Chain Management at SETU will give you a thorough understanding of all aspects of Supply Chains, and fantastic career opportunities.
Management
In the management stream sessions, Try participants will have the opportunity to engage in activities designed to develop a range of leadership skills.
