Cork Road Campus, Waterford
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Try Computing at SETU event, which was due to be held on Tuesday, 10 December, is postponed until further notice.
The new date for the event will be confirmed in the new year, once timetables have been set at SETU's campus in Waterford. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and hope to see you in the new year.
Try Computing is an interactive event for sixth year, fifth year, transition year and further education students interested in a career in ICT (Information & Communication Technology).
Students will participate in practical exercises with experienced lecturing staff which will explore the general area of computer science. This relates directly to courses on offer at SETU, such as Computer Science, Software Systems Development, Computer Forensics and Security, Creative Computing and Information Technology. This event will give the participants a tour of the computing facilities, where they will be given an 'Hour of Code' workshop, as well as other talks and demonstrations.
It will also facilitate them to meet lecturers, ask questions about courses and content and get an insight into what it's like to be a computing student at SETU.
Spaces are limited and booking is required to attend.
