Try Culinary 2024

Our annual Try Culinary event is for sixth, fifth and transition year students who are interested in pursuing a career in culinary and food. The event will give participants the opportunity to live the life of a student studying culinary courses at varying levels as well as meeting our expert staff.

This event is a taster for those interested in studying on either the BA (Hons) in Culinary Arts or the Higher Certificate in Arts in Culinary Arts programmes at SETU.

Participants will get an opportunity to talk with current students who will share their insights into the department, courses and life in SETU. Information will also be presented about the varied opportunities that exist for students upon graduation from graduates of culinary now working in the food and drinks sector.

This event will cover:

• Food Sensory
• Hot kitchen demonstration
• Patisserie workshop
• Q&A with current students about career opportunities
• Lunch

This one-day taster course will provide you with a unique opportunity to experience a culinary course for yourself, giving you confidence in your CAO choice.
