Try Hour of Code 2025

The global phenomenon an 'Hour of Code' will take place at the SETU spring open evening on Thursday, 27 March. 

In just one hour, we're giving CAO applicants the chance to figure out if coding is for them using a special 'Try Hour of Code' exercise, designed to demystify "code" and show that anybody can learn the basics.

Lecturers from the department will take you through an exercise that helps nurture problem-solving skills, logic and creativity.  No prior computing knowledge is required, beyond being able to point and click with a mouse!  An Hour of Code is a very accessible way to try out coding, to consider computing as a future study or career option, and to help fill the skills gap.
