An interactive experience highlighting how social science can broaden your horizons, open up debate and give us a say in shaping our collective future.
The event is aimed at transition year, fifth and sixth year, further education and mature students with participants meeting with lecturers and current undergraduate students to discuss all aspects of the course and college life.
Information will also be presented about the career and postgraduate opportunities that exist for social science graduates.
This event begins at 9.15am. There will be a short break and we will conclude at 1pm.
Lunch vouchers will be provided for enrolled participants.
The theme for this years Try Social Science will be ‘Evolving Society’. Students will explore and debate questions such as:
- Technology and social relationships
- Equality, diversity and inclusion
- Wellbeing and resilience
- Identity
- Environment and climate justice
We have a packed schedule of speakers including lecturers and recently graduated students that will introduce the exciting world of Social Science to you.
