This week, 60 students were celebrated at the Department of Sport and Exercise Science Honours List event for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Students with an average mark across the academic year of greater than 65% in years one and two, and greater than 70% in years three and four are awarded a place on the Honours List.
The Honours List was established by the Department of Sport & Exercise Science at SETU in Waterford in 2015. The aim is to acknowledge and award excellent academic achievement by students in all degree years.
The department feels this is a positive way to praise high achieving students and encourage them to keep up these standards across their full degree.
Graduate of the BBs (Hons) in Recreation and Sport Management, Cathal Rafferty Walsh, who now works with Swim Ireland, spoke to current students at the event, encouraging them to keep up the hard work.
