Location, location, location
Location was the big ticket item for me. I wanted to commute so I could stay at home and save money. I’m from Dungarvan so that made it possible for me because there were buses and I was able to get up and down with no problems.
SETU social life
The social life is great and you get to meet loads of different people. I made great friends and everyone in SETU is just so nice. There is no craziness like you would find in some of the universities. Everyone just gets on – it's so refreshing.
Moving on to a level 8
Not at the moment. The level 7 was enough to get me the job and it’s great to be able to do the three years and go. Four years felt like a long time when I was deciding what I wanted to do so it was great to have the three-year level 7 to pick.
Current employment
I’m now working in Eurofins Food Testing in Dungarvan. I got the job from my work placement during my degree. They kept me on after I finished placement. I was working weekends until I finished college and went full time after so it kept me going and it was great to have the job before I finished. It allowed me to get some experience in the field. I’m starting a new job in Glanbia in two weeks. I hope to work my way up there over the next few years.
