Major construction projects
I have been working for BAM Ireland after they took me on full-time following my college work placement. I had the privilege to work on the new Rose Kennedy Fitzgerald Bridge which was incorporated into the N25 New Ross bypass. I am currently working on the structural steel phase in the New Children's Hospital in Dublin, which is a fantastic challenge.

I’m from Kilmacow in Co. Kilkenny which is only about 15 minute drive away from SETU. I’ve several friends who did the course previously and they all recommended it to me. That, along with SETU's fantastic reputation for putting out high-quality construction management graduates are among the main reasons why I decided to go for the course.
Finding the right path
When I finished school, I didn’t know what I wanted to do so I completed an apprenticeship and then went travelling for a year. When I came home, I wanted to upskill my education so I decided to go back to college. I'm so glad I waited to find a course that's the right fit for me. I have so many fond memories of a course class trip to Rome which was very enjoyable. A former lecturer who has since retired brought us over for four days and brought us around different sites. It was a great bonding exercise which helped when it came to future group work in classes.
