Graduate of the MSc in Digital Marketing Practice programme, Maeve Quill from Dungarvan, Co Waterford proudly holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Digital Marketing Practice from South East Technological University (SETU).
Career background
Maeve was no stranger to the world of marketing prior to studying at SETU, as she spent many years working in traditional media, both in the UK and Ireland. “I have a background as a content creator, director, and producer. My career focused heavily on storytelling and visual production, working closely with clients to develop engaging content.”
Motivation to study
Discussing her motivation to study the MSc in Digital Marketing Practice, Maeve said over time led her to become increasingly involved with marketing teams, working hand in hand with them crafting content that supported their brands and strategic goals. “I realised that while I had valuable creative and production experience, there was an opportunity to deepen my skills in digital marketing strategy to better serve my clients and expand my professional scope,” Maeve said.

Turning point
Maeve credits studying at SETU as being a “turning point” in her career. “Enrolling at SETU was a turning point, giving me a formal qualification in marketing and digital marketing, and a practical foundation in the latest digital tools and strategies.”
Maeve continued, “The course was more than just academic; it provided hands-on experience with real clients, alongside insights from industry-leading guest speakers.”
New opportunities
A proud moment for Maeve was her graduation, “I was delighted to graduate with a first-class master’s degree.” Since completing the course, Maeve is exploring new opportunities, including a part-time lecturing role. “With these skills and experiences, I feel equipped to guide client brands from creative inception to impactful delivery, and I'm excited about this new phase in my career,” said Maeve.
