South East Technological University (SETU) recently welcomed over 190 guests for its 51st annual senior citizen’s Easter party. The event brought together students, staff, and members of the local community for an afternoon of lunch, refreshments, and entertainment.

Long-standing tradition
The annual Easter party has been one of the University’s longest running traditions, highlighting SETU’s commitment to community engagement and intergenerational connection. The very first event took place in 1970, the year the college was founded, and with the exception of the years impacted by Covid-19, it has remained an annual celebration ever since.

Throughout the afternoon, guests enjoyed food, music, and performances, creating a warm and lively atmosphere. Students and staff worked together to ensure that everyone felt welcomed and valued, reinforcing the strong ties between the University and the wider community.

A memorable event for all
The event provided an opportunity for guests to socialise, reminisce, and enjoy the company of both familiar and new faces. The dedication of SETU’s students and staff in organising the party demonstrated the importance of fostering community spirit and giving back to those who have contributed so much over the years.
