SETU is hosting a CAO Information Evening at its campus in Carlow on Wednesday, 15 January 2025, from 4:30pm to 7pm.
As the deadline for CAO applications approaches on 1 February, SETU’s CAO Information Evening offers students, along with their parents and guardians, the opportunity to explore the university’s modern Carlow campus, engage with lecturers and staff, and learn about the wide variety of career-focused courses available. Experts will provide insights into courses spanning engineering, computing, science, built environment, business, humanities, sport, and health sciences.
Visitors can enjoy campus tours throughout the evening and connect with representatives from SETU’s sports department and student societies, offering a glimpse into student life.
“We’re thrilled to welcome students and their families to this event. Choosing where to study is a big decision, and we’re here to make that process smoother by showcasing the exciting opportunities and supports available at SETU.”
Hugh Ryan, Schools Liaison Officer at SETU.
A standout feature of the evening will be informative talks by SETU’s academic administration and student affairs team, guiding students through the CAO application process and strategies to optimise their applications. Additionally, attendees will have the chance to meet staff from SETU’s finance and grants departments, including its HEAR programme and DARE initiative.
We also have an ‘Explore Your Options’ Zone, where university staff, careers professionals, and students will offer tailored advice on course choices and career pathways to support informed CAO decisions.
