Titled 'European Funding: From Idea to Implementation (Pre & Post Award)', the intensive blended programme, which took place 1-5 July, focused on navigating European research project funding.

Strong SETU Participation

SETU was represented by Michelle Maher, Lecturer in Sustainability, EU-CONEXUS at SETU; Joy Rooney, Lecturer and Researcher in Design at SETU; Tracey Dermody, Post Graduate Research Support Officer, School of Health Sciences, SETU; and Dr Heather Jennings, also from the School of Health Sciences, SETU.

Programme Highlights

Organised by the Talent Management Centre of La Rochelle Université and the Project Development Support Office of EU-CONEXUS, the programme aimed to equip researchers with practical skills and knowledge. Key areas covered included understanding the European context, identifying calls for projects, and managing funding and eligible expenses. The training was highly interactive, featuring engaging exercises and practical workshops.

Networking and Collaboration

Beyond the formal schedule, the programme provided valuable networking opportunities. Participants connected with peers and industry leaders, fostering potential collaborations for future research projects.

The Blended Intensive Programme at La Rochelle Université showcases the benefits of collaborative approaches to empower researchers from EU-CONEXUS partners, like SETU, to successfully navigate and secure European research funding.
