The EU-CONEXUS student board plays a crucial role in representing the interests of students within the alliance. Their remit includes improving the quality of student life, advocating for student rights, and contributing significantly to the overall student experience.

The role of a student board member is multifaceted, requiring effective communication, advocacy skills, and a genuine commitment to improving the overall student experience within the alliance. This collaborative approach ensures that the student voice is heard and actively contributes to the development and enhancement of academic programmes and student-related projects.

On his nomination to the EU-CONEXUS student board, Ashkan commented “I’m honoured to represent SETU as an EU-CONEXUS student board member. I look forward to working with the EU-CONEXUS team here at SETU and collaborating with my fellow board members. This formal role advocates for the student voice and plays an active role in championing the student perspective”.

Professor Peter McLoughlin, Executive Lead for EU-CONEXUS at SETU commented “We are delighted to have Ashkan Dehghan join the EU-CONEXUS student board. He is a strong advocate for the student experience and will represent SETU to the highest standard. As a team, we look forward to following his term as a student board member and supporting him as he puts his own stamp on the role”.

There is an opening for an undergraduate candidate from SETU on the EU-CONEXUS student board. This provides an opportunity for other students to get involved and contribute to the alliance.
