Their creative work in art and gaming is truly inspiring and will undoubtedly challenge others to push their boundaries at Dingle Animated 2026.”

Storytelling festival

Animation Dingle is Ireland’s leading animation and digital storytelling festival, drawing major international studios and industry leaders. The 2025 festival featured keynote appearances from creative luminaries, including Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park. Animation World Network describes the event as “the gathering point for the next generation of creative talent and the global industry leaders who inspire them”.

Talent recognised

Anita Dice, 3D Art Lecturer at SETU, welcomed the recognition by saying, “I’m delighted to see our IDAD students’ talent acknowledged at such a prestigious event. The opportunity to present their work alongside leading professionals, pitch their ideas, and engage with industry leaders is invaluable. This success will undoubtedly inspire more students to participate in Animation Dingle 2026.”

Technical and artistic skills

The IDAD programme equips students with the technical and artistic skills required to create compelling digital content across animation, games, and interactive experiences. The students’ success in Dingle reflects the University’s strong emphasis on industry engagement and practical, real-world opportunities.
