South East Technological University (SETU) will be fully closed on Friday, 24 January due to the risks associated with the Status Red Wind Warning.

Met Éireann has issued a status red - wind warning for Ireland, valid from 2am until 10am on Friday, 24 January. Storm Éowyn is expected to bring extreme, damaging and destructive gusts in excess of 130km/h. 

Safety

In line with the recent advisory from the National Emergency Co-ordination group and to ensure the safety of all staff and students, SETU’s campuses across Waterford, Carlow and Wexford will be closed for the full day on Friday, 24 January. 

Where possible, staff should work remotely from home.

Classes

Please note that all physical / on campus classes are cancelled for Friday. Therefore, students should not travel to our campuses tomorrow. Classes will resume as normal on Monday, 27 January.
