“Growing up, I had a keen interest in all things electrical and automation. After secondary school, my ambition was to do an electrical apprenticeship. The opportunity arose to do an Electrical Instrumentation apprenticeship with Sulzer Pumps in Wexford, and I jumped at it.
Sky continued, “Aswell as electrical work, I would also learn about instrumentation, pneumatics, PLCs, electronics, and more. I enjoyed working with Sulzer and after my first block release, I was able to go back and apply this knowledge. My experience at SETU alongside my on-the-job training with Sulzer connected me with tutors, and fellow workers, who were experts in the field. My electrical apprenticeship, and the support of those I met along the way, had the blend of theory, practice, and future possibilities that are needed in a career. Much appreciation to all.”

“It gives me great pleasure on the behalf of Sulzer Pumps Solutions to congratulate Sky on receiving this ISA award. Sky worked hard from the beginning of his apprenticeship. He was always curious to learn more both practically and theoretically.
His attention to detail, commitment and engagement with his tutors, mentors and the Sulzer Team all contributed to him receiving this award. Hopefully this award will open career opportunities for Sky and I wish him continued success in the future. “
