SETU students with new and innovative business ideas, can now participate in the Student Inc. programme for 2025.

Student Inc. is Ireland’s longest running student accelerator programme designed to encourage student entrepreneurs to assess the feasibility of their new business ideas.

University and industry support

The full-time programme will be run in the summer of 2025 and will allow students to remain at their home university and campus incubators, as they start their business in a safe and nurturing environment.

SETU is one of the nine Irish universities supporting the Student Inc. programme, with the network aiming to provide 75 students across Ireland with the opportunity to turn their entrepreneurial idea into a reality.

The SETU Xcelerate Centre is the University’s business incubator, with a mission to help entrepreneurs harness their creativity and innovation as they convert their ideas into thriving businesses.

At the SETU Xcelerate Centre we are passionate about student entrepreneurship and excited to support the potential that exists in our student community. Joining the Student Inc. programme is an incredible opportunity for SETU students, with interesting business ideas, to spend the summer in one of our business incubators, in Carlow or Waterford. These incubators will allow our students to deep dive into making their business idea, the most successful it can be. We can't wait to welcome these student entrepreneurs into the powerful ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship that exists in our region.
