We've reopened applications through the CAO for several undergraduate courses, offering a new opportunity for students to secure a place on their desired course this September.

Five courses from SETU’s extensive portfolio are now available on the CAO’s ‘available places’ list. These options are open to both new applicants and those who have already applied through the CAO.

Dr Derek O’Byrne, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Teaching & Learning at SETU, emphasised the University’s commitment to offering broad opportunities for school leavers. He noted that SETU has expanded the range of courses in the available places scheme to reflect this.

“It’s not too late to apply for the college course you want,” said Dr O’Byrne. “At SETU, we believe it’s important to help students find an offer they are satisfied with. That’s why we’ve added several CAO courses to the available places list across levels 8 and 6, spanning various disciplines.”

“This extension allows students to reassess their study and career goals and consider starting their educational journey at one of our campuses in Waterford, Carlow, or Wexford this year.”

Offering this advice to existing or new applicants, as they reflect on the CAO offers, or consider the next step in their educational journey, Dr O’Byrne said, “Take this opportunity to consider if your choice is the right one for you. SETU’s available places offering courses across arts, engineering, set design, and business can provide a pathway to your future. Staying true to your skills and interests will guide you toward a fulfilling career.”
