CALMAST (Centre for the Advancement of Learning of Maths, Science and Technology) is inviting South East Technological University (SETU) students to join the STEM Engagement Hub.
If you are looking for a rewarding way to gain experience, build connections, and contribute to your university community, CALMAST offers exciting volunteering opportunities throughout the year. Why volunteer with CALMAST?
Volunteering with CALMAST is not just about giving back—it’s about gaining valuable experience and enhancing your university journey. While volunteering with CALMAST students can gain referenced work experience and learn about networking by meeting like-minded peers and expanding their professional connections within the SETU community.
The volunteer hours students accrue count towards the prestigious SETU President’s Volunteer Award (PVA). This award is available in three different tiers – bronze, silver and gold. It is an amazing addition to your CV and demonstrates your commitment to enhancing university life on campus.
Who can volunteer?
Students don’t need to be studying a STEM subject to get involved, as CALMAST welcomes volunteers from all disciplines. Whether you’re interested in facilitating events, marketing, gaming, problem-solving, or early childhood education, there’s a place for you. Of course, students in Science, Engineering, and Technology are also encouraged to apply.
