Biography

Fabrice Bartholin is a lecturer in Hospitality Management and Tourism at SETU Waterford Campus in Ireland. He currently serves as the programme leader for the Level 8 B.A. (Hons) in Hospitality Management and Level 7 B.Bus in Tourism and Hospitality Services. Fabrice holds a Bachelor of Sciences in Hospitality Management from EHL Hospitality Business and Hotel Management School in Lausanne, Switzerland. Fabrice transitioned from the hospitality industry into academia in 2015, earning his Executive Master in Business Administration (MBA) in 2016 from Waterford Institute of Technology. Fabrice is in the final year of his PhD at Dublin City University.

Fabrice teaches both theoretical modules in the areas of hospitality and tourism operations management, as well as practical courses in SETU’s Training Restaurant.

Fluent in English, French and Spanish, Fabrice has taught French to different cohorts under the Alliance Francaise umbrella in its Kilkenny Branch.

Fabrice's doctoral research explores the impact of human and technology service systems on frontline employees, customer experiences and financial performance in service organisations.

Owing to his practitioner background, Fabrice is enthusiastic about interdisciplinary research with practical applications. He is particularly interested in phenomena that impact frontline service experiences and employee well-being.

With 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Fabrice has held various middle and senior management roles in the luxury hospitality sector, where he was responsible for the strategic leadership of high-turnover operations, managing multi-million Euro budgets and overseeing teams of up to 100 employees.
