Biography
I am a Business Information Systems Lecturer in the School of Business at Waterford Institute of Technology.
I have a passion for the Web and Entrepreneurship, and my more than 10 years experience in teaching and lecturing is heavily supported by an active industry involvement in the field of Web Design and Social Media Marketing.
Specialties: Social Media and Online Marketing, Web Design, Computer Programming, Systems Analysis & Design, Information Systems Security.
I was educated at St. Paul's Community College (5 minutes walk from WIT) and subsequently pursued a degree in Information Technology & Telecommunications at the University of Limerick in 1998. While studying for my degree I developed an interest in Voice over IP, and gained my Masters in Engineering by Research in the field of VoIP, also at UL.
Entreprenaurial in spirit, I gained a Post Graduate Diploma in Enterprise Development from WIT in 2006, and used the attained knowledge to offer Web consultancy services to Micro and Startup Businesses in the region.
