
Biography
Dr. Patricia Maher joined the School of Business at SETU Waterford (Waterford Institute of Technology) in 2003. Patricia moved to SETU Carlow in 2021. Patricia has lectured at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her main subject areas include sustainable supply chains, strategic procurement, purchasing and supplier relationships, supply chain management, quality management and continuous improvement, and SAP/Enterprise systems skills. Patricia's main research interests include sustainable supply chain management, product affordance design, product development management, product quality conformance, receptiveness and responsiveness. In 2020, Patricia was awarded her PhD from Trinity College Dublin. Patricia's PhD examined affordance development improvement in existing product designs. During her academic career, Patricia has presented at a number of international conferences.
Patricia’s other academic qualification include a Master of Business Studies (By Research) in Supply Chain Management (2005) and a Bachelor of Business Studies in Industrial Purchasing Management (2001).
