Biography

Philomena is Senior Staff Officer in the Office of External Affairs within South East Technological University. The Office is responsible for driving regional engagement and stakeholder partnerships at the university. Philomena’s role is to support the projects coordination, communications, systems development and operations of this centralised function. Prior to this, Philomena has worked as European Research Programme Officer providing comprehensive support to the SETU research community supporting them through the proposal preparation, project setup, contract management and full project lifecycle of European and International Research Funding.

Previously Philomena worked in the Technology Transfer Office in SETU as Senior Administrator which involved management of all industry engagement and commercialisation contracts, and monitoring and reporting on and supporting commercialisation activity. Philomena has also worked in roles supporting the research community through enterprise development training.

Philomena Treacy holds a BSc in Information Technology and a BBS (Hons) in Business Information Systems from SETU, and has undertaken a number of training programme in areas of project management, digital marketing and technology transfer.
