Rachel is a graduate of Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh - MA Languages Interpreting and Translating - German and Russian. She progressed to post-graduate Certificate and Diploma in teaching English as second language from International House in conjunction with Cambridge University. She taught academic English to students of Radio-electronics and Control Systems in TUSUR in Tomsk, Siberia for 5 years. Having returned to live in Ireland she started working at Institute of Technology Carlow in 2017 as the International Officer. She spent 4 very busy years traveling overseas to recruit Non-EU students. In 2021 she took on a new role of Senior Staff Officer, overseeing the administration of the SETU Global Office in Carlow, including Non-EU admissions.
