Biography

Yogesh is a PhD candidate currently undertaking his research under the supervision of John Maher, Dr Richard Burke, and Dr Sean Byrne. The title of the PhD study is “Socioeconomic challenges, pension policy and the integration of residential property with private pensions in Ireland”. His research interest includes Socioeconomics, Welfare Economics and Personal Finance. The first phase of the research has been undertaken in collaboration with the five other European countries which are Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, and the UK. He has actively participated and presented at the consortium meetings conducted in Hungary, Ireland, and Germany.

In his two years of research journey, Yogesh has presented the paper titled ‘Financial Feasibility of Integrating Residential Property with Private Pensions in Ireland’ at the Infinity Conference in Valencia in 2017. He has also written a book chapter named ‘Holding On and Letting Go in Ireland - Examining the Policy and Fiscal Environment for Supplementing Retirement Income from Residential Property' and this is currently under publication by the Springer Publishing. Further, he has presented his research at Doctoral Colloquium of the Irish Accounting & Finance Association (IAFA) 2016 & 2017, along with a Research Day 2016 & 2017 at the Waterford Institute of Technology.

Yogesh is currently working as a part-time lecturer in Finance & Accountancy in Dublin Business School. Prior to that, he worked with ICOT college, Dublin from Sep'14 to Dec 14.

From 2014, he has been working as a private tutor to help both undergrad and postgrad students in modules such as Corporate Finance, Derivatives, Asset Valuation, Statistics, and Accounting.
