Costing your Proposal
- No RGAM / Recurrent Grant funding for Springboard courses and any fees that were developed for existing non-Springboard courses that may be submitted will have to be substantially revised upwards for SB pruposes.
- HEA Springboard Costing Reference Sheet 2025
- this is a general reference - courses that charge higher rates per 10 credits are routinely funded if a compelling case is made
- costing is one element of the marking scheme
- Talk to your HoD / talk to Brian O'Reilly / Brian.OReilly@setu.ie in Finance re WD courses and TBC in Carlow re CW Courses
- Include any known or potential non-pay costs - all costs need to be covered by the fees [ no separate funding for capital equipment etc. ]
Final application including costing has to come thru the Faculty
New Course Validation (where relevant )
- Courses do not need to be already validated in order to be submitted for Springbaord funding
But they need to start before end Oct 2025 - so get the validation process started for new courses right away - talk to registry
