The Department of the Built Environment will hold a Special Entrance Examination in Mathematics on Friday 30 August from 14.00 to 17.00. A pass (which is set at 55%) in this examination will fulfil the Mathematics entry requirement for the  Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Civil Engineering SE713 programme as an alternative to the Leaving Certificate Honours Mathematics requirement of H4.

Key dates & deadlines

In advance of the examination, an intensive preparatory course for applicants intending to sit this exam will be held. The course will run over 2 days – 1 full day and 1 half day. The exam will be held on the afternoon of the second day.

Upon application for the maths exam, it is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that they meet all other criteria for the programme.  The University will not check eligibility criteria until after the maths paper has been completed.
