Scholarship Overview
- A €3,000 scholarship allowance for the one year level 8 BSc (Hons) in Land Management in Forestry. This is paid in two instalments.
- A paid professional work placement in Veon in the summer period before returning to commence the BSc (Hons) in Land Management in Forestry.
- Support for a relevant elective research project.
A graduate position with Veon, for a minimum of one year, on successful completion of the BSc (Hons) in Land Management in Forestry.
* Veon reserves the right not to offer a 3rd year work placement, the 4th year research project and/or offer the graduate position at their own discretion.
- Applications are invited from 3rd year students of the BSc in Forestry at SETU Waterford.
- Applicants must intend to successfully complete their programme in 2024.
- Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria.
The application process and subsequent evaluation of applicants is explained in full in the terms and conditions. However, in brief, the process is:
- Applicants fill in an online application form and upload their complete Forest Management Plan.
- Applicants are shortlisted based on their application form.
- Shortlisted applicants are interviewed.
- The successful applicant will be informed of the outcome.
- The award will be formally presented at the annual Industry Sponsored Awards.
